The Eisteddfod Choral Showcase took place at St. Helier Methodist Centre on Wednesday 13th March when the Festival Choir appeared along with a number of other local choirs.The choir sang the following:‘Gloria in excelsis Deo’ from Vivaldi’s Gloria‘Lullaby’ from Three Nocturnes by Daniel Elder‘Proclaim the Lord’ words by Laura Kate Collum and music by Ruth Ann Somervell
The choir Annual Dinner took place on March 17th at the Ambassador Hotel in St. Clement.The hotel did a great job in looking after us and it was a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
27th April 2024: Spring Concert.at St Helier Methodist Centre2024 is the centenary of the death of Charles Villiers Stanford and the 200th Anniversary of the RNLI. As such, our programme had a nautical flavour when we includied his ‘Songs of the Fleet’ in the programme.The collection from the small but generous audience raised £668.69 for the RNLI.
